Amazing Nepal Hiking Videos

I recently helped my partner out with selecting which gear to take on his Nepal hiking adventure. He planned for months on which route to take and how he’d capture this special trip. He wanted to give the audience an essence of hiking alone, without the distractions of music or a voiceover. For equipment, after going back and forth a number of times on this tough decision, he ended up taking his Sony A7R5 and Sony GM 24-70MM lens. He also took a DJI Air2S drone.

I’m rather amazed at what he accomplished for his first time creating a video like this! It’s remarkable what technology has done in opening up video creation to a whole new group of people. My partner is a complete novice at video creation, but you’d never know it from the quality of his first hiking video. He edited the footage using DaVinci Resolve (the free version) on a Mac Studio Max. The footage could have been edited on the go on the M1 MacBook Air too as it handled the clips without issue.

I hope you enjoy the video series as much as I did. I also hope that it inspires you to take some videos on your next travel adventure. I know that it’s inspired me to try that video mode on my camera for the next trip!
