Tonghui River, Beijing, China

With the weather warming up, I thought it was time to go out for a long walk. A favourite spot is to walk along the Tonghui River in downtown Beijing. I rarely use the Leica M10 these days, so I decided I would only shoot with that camera and the Voigtlander 50MM F1.2 lens during this walk.

It’s such a joy to handle the Leica; it feels so well built, like a unibody tank. The Voigtlander never disappoints with its sharpness and beautiful bokeh rendering. I only wish I had more time to use this camera more often; it’s always like that in life, when you have the financial capability to have nice things, you don’t have the time to enjoy them!

Here are a few images from that wonderful and warm spring day. All of the images are using the Kodak Elite Chrome 100 film simulation by RNI Films in Capture One Pro 21. I’ve been very pleased with the RNI Film Simulations when using non Fujifilm cameras, which already have amazing film simulations built in.
